Avocado Oil is an emollient rich in oleic acid, phytosterols, and fat-soluble vitamins A, D, and E. Overnight, it reinforces the skin’s lipid barrier — reducing TEWL and supporting the barrier repair cycle that peaks during sleep. Phytosterols contribute anti-inflammatory support, and the vitamin E content adds an antioxidant layer that complements the Melatonin in the formula. It gives the cream its rich, nourishing overnight texture.*

Aloe Vera leaf juice provides mucilaginous polysaccharides including acemannan, which have demonstrated soothing, anti-inflammatory, and barrier-repair-supporting properties in topical research. Overnight, it calms any residual skin reactivity from daytime stressors and contributes lightweight hydration within the emulsion alongside Hyaluronic Acid. It also helps balance the richness of the oil phase to prevent a heavy, occlusive finish.*

Lavender Oil contributes multiple functions to this overnight formula: its recognized antimicrobial activity supports formula preservation alongside Rosemary, and its anti-inflammatory compounds (linalool, linalyl acetate) provide mild skin-calming effects at the low concentrations used in cosmetic formulations. The calming aroma also supports the sensory experience of an evening skincare routine. Concentration is kept within internationally recognized safe limits for leave-on facial products.*

Sweet Almond Oil is a lightweight emollient high in oleic and linoleic acids that contributes to barrier function and the smooth, skin-conditioning feel of the formula. It absorbs readily overnight without leaving a heavy residue and complements the richer Avocado Oil in providing multi-fatty-acid barrier support. It is well tolerated by most skin types in emulsion formulations.*

Rosemary Oil is included at a low functional level for its antioxidant polyphenols — primarily rosmarinic acid and carnosic acid — which help protect the oil components of the formula from oxidative degradation over the product’s shelf life. This preserves the integrity of the Collagen fractions, Avocado Oil, and Almond Oil from rancidity. The concentration used is well below thresholds associated with skin sensitization.*
